Thor/Parts Unlimited: What’s New
Even though preparation and planning for 2011 is already in full swing, there is still plenty happening out on the track for Thor MX.  Last weekend in Mesquite, Nev., FMF/KTM Off-road rider Kurt Caselli captured the 2010 Rocky Mountain MC World Off Road Championship Series title.  The championship is Caselli’s second of his career dating back to the 2007 season when he won his first WORCS title. This years edition of WORCS Week in Olympia, WA kicked off with a weekend of Hare Scrambles racing in the woods surrounding Straddleline ORV Park. Tall old growth timbers, tree roots, rocks and a bit of mud challenged the racers as they navigated their way through the tight course built by the WORCS staff. Unlike a typical WORCS weekend, the racers had the added challenge of dead engine starts, longer laps, and they rode very little of the motocross track. Read the rest of this entry »

SENDING A MESSAGE, that’s what FMF/KTM’s Kurt Caselli intended to do as he waited for the gate to drop on the WORCS Round 8 Sunday Main. Winning the round 7 Hare Scramble race that kicked off WORCS Week gave him a 1 point lead coming into this race one week later.

Traxxas has come on board to sponsor three rounds of the Motorcycle series for a the Traxxas Triple Crown. Honey Lake, Glen Helen and Mesquite will locations for the triple crown. This should be very exciting in the pits and a whole lot of fun. Bring your Traxxas car and have fun on the custom built track. The Traxxas semi will be at all three events. Triple Crown Awards given at the year end banquet. The snow was falling yesterday here at Honey Lake and with the spectacular weather reports for this weekend we are in for a treat. Ricky Dietrich Race Report: WORCS Rnd #2 (Primm, NV)

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Justin Soule and Ricky Dietrich showed their speed on the rough and sandy track as each rider took his first podium spot of the season, finishing second and third, respectively, at the second round of the WORCS series at Stateline in Primm, Nev. Teammate Destry Abbott finished ninth after a hard month battling the flu. Along with the team riders finishing in the top-10, Kawasaki grabbed six of the top-10 spots with Jonathan Davis in sixth, Gary Sutherlin in seventh, and Robby Bell in eighth. Pro 2 class rider Ryan Abbatoye demolished the competition the whole weekend with a dominating victory in both Saturday’s 450A race and Sunday’s Pro 2 main event. Read the rest of this entry »
