Letter from Sean
Can you believe that it is already Round 3? We’re back to Havasu for the annual spring break migration. All things crazy can and do happen in Lake Havasu City. Bring your sun tan oil, put on your swim suits and be prepared for a great time!

MCs and ATVs got together at Primm for the third time in WORCS history since we separated the two programs in 2004, and that was one heck of an event. If you were an ATV guy, everything went on without a hitch. The racing was great and scoring was fast. If you were a MC guy you had great racing, but we suffered our own demons in scoring. I want to apologize personally for that. Scoring has always been a point of pride with WORCS and we have come up with MC-only solutions to get us back to our normal program. The transponders work exceptionally well and we are excited about what they offer you as the racer/bystander and us in the scoring booth. We just need a little help on the racers end. At Round 3, all bikes and ATVs will come through the staging tent and have your transponders read by the system. If you did not charge the battery, we can tell and you will have to turn around. If there is any conflict in bike number (like when a family shares a transponder) we should catch it then. These few things will make life much easier on the scoring team, and with our glitches fixed it should be smooth sailing.

Pro practice and timing will be at the same time. This means that the entire practice time will be available for your fast-lap or just practice. Use your hour however you like. Course deviations will be treated with the same DSQ penalty as the main event. There will be dead-engine starts this week at Havasu, but we will have live-engine starts with a gate for the rest of the rounds.

Once again, we thank you for supporting WORCS racing on its 10th year anniversary tour. See you at the races!
