WORCS: Update for this Weekends Giant throwdown

The two race tracks for this weekend are now complete and we are extremely pleased. The desert terrain behind Buffalo Bills has provided us with a 5.2 mile ATV course and another separate 5 mile motorcycle course.  The ATV course will use the CORE truck track and the surrounding desert and the motorcycle course is 100% desert. A large portion of the desert course has been left virgin and the other half is cut very similar to Racetown 395’s off road. Rain is in the forecast for Friday night and if it does the conditions will be epic. Read the rest of this entry »

Kawasaki/Monster Energy Ricky Dietrich Heads to Argentina

Menifee, Ca: 2/19/10–  Monster Energy/Factory Kawasaki’s Ricky Dietrich arrived in Piramer, Argentina early this week to start his pre-week training and run for Argentina’s largest annual Enduro Beach Race known as “Enduro Del Verano” (Summer Enduro).  This is by far one of the largest Enduro Beach races in the World and Dietrich podiumed here in 2009 and is looking to take the win for 2010.  Team Manager- Jason Smigel and Factory Kawasaki mechanic- Jeff Decker made the 6100 mile trip to assist Dietrich in taking home this Summer title. Bobby Bonds Injury Update

Bakersfield, Ca: 2/15/10:  Bobby Bonds’ season has had a slight set back due to an injury he received Saturday night while competing at Round #6 of the 2010 Monster Energy Supercross series.  At Anaheim this past weekend, Bonds was doing this kicker section right before the triple.  On lap 3 or 4 of his Hear race while running 10th, he hit the infamous neutral which catapulted him over the bars and into the face of the triple ahead, breaking his collar bone and ending his night early and most likely putting him out of Rounds 2 and 3 of the WORCS series. WORCS is the only championship available right outside your back door! For the first time, the schedule for the rapidly approaching 2010 World Off-Road Championships has been designed logistically to save racers money. The plan is to have the WORCS races in neighboring west coast cities such as San Diego, Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, while including the furthest race only as far as Straddling, Washington.
