Borich Looks for Third GNCC ATV Title at Amsoil Ironman This Weekend

Morgantown, W. Va. (October 18, 2011) – Chris Borich doesn’t want to wait. While the Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series historically concludes at the annual Amsoil Ironman in Crawfordsville, Ind., this weekend’s Ironman will precede the finale at Loretta Lynn Ranch in Tennessee in two weeks, an event rescheduled from earlier in the season due to rain. But Borich could still wrap the title at the Ironman, which only adds to excitement of the event, where the local community joins the GNCC racing nation for a weekend of fall festivities alongside some of the best racing of the year. Valcourt, Québec, October 12, 2011 – Warnert Racing / Can-Am DS 450 racer Adam McGill finished third in the XC1 Pro class at the Powerline Park Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) race held over the weekend in St. Clairsville, Ohio. National Guard Polaris Coastal DragonFire Yokley Racing Team driver William Yokley finished 1st Overall and 1st in the Side by Side Open Modified Class. National Guard Polaris Coastal Yokley Racing Team driver Scott Kiger finished 31st Overall and 17th in the same class after being involved in a mishap. There were 45 total entries with 22 Open Modified teams in the race today. William’s guest passenger was Steve Gieble, and Scott’s passenger was Joe Waligora.

National Guard Coastal Yokley Racing Pro ATV Team rider Jarrod McClure finished 6th Overall and 5th in the XC1 Pro ATV class. There were 145 total entries with 14 XC1 Pro riders. Read the rest of this entry »

(October 4, 2011) – Just as Chris Borich began to settle back into a winning groove, the Rockstar Makita Suzuki rider experienced a flat tire in the rocky Pennsylvania terrain, leaving him with a fifth place finish at round eleven. However, with six wins and a commanding points lead, Borich is only three races away from clenching the 2011 Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series Championship for the second year in a row. ITP TEARING IT UP IN 2011 GNCC SERIES

ITP LogoITP continues to contend in numerous classes in this year’s Grand National Cross Country Championship Series. In the XC1 Pro division, the Foremost Insurance/Warnert Can-Am duo of Adam McGill and Chris Bithell have been consistent frontrunners on a combination of ITP Holeshot GNCC and QuadCross XC tires. Following round 10 in Unadilla, New York, where Bithell was 2nd and McGill 3rd, they are 2-3 in the point standings, with McGill holding a 10-point edge.
