 Bakersfield, Ca- 4/1/10: JR Publications & Ricky Dietrich announced today, the auction of a complete set of Ricky Dietrich/O’Neal gear from this year’s Argentina “Le Touquet” Beach Race. Dietrich has competed in this event for the past two years and this is his one-off #80 American printed O’Neal vented gear from this years race. Gear was worn in practice by Dietrich. All proceeds will go to the Rider Down Foundation. “Bruce Vermeulen & the crew do a fantastic job over at Rider Down, so Dietrich and I talked this year and this will be the first of 2-3 Auctions that we will be giving 100% back to Rider Down.” Jason Reed of JR Publications. World Premiere Set For June 22 In San Diego
Marty Moates “One Day of Magic” comes to the big screen on 30th anniversary of race.
April 1, 2010 – San Diego, CA – Todd Huffman, producer of the popular Motocross Files television series, is in the final stages of wrapping up his latest and perhaps most important project of his career: Carlsbad USGP:1980: The Movie. The movie will premier on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at the historic 1,500-seat Spreckels Theatre located in the heart of downtown San Diego.  March 20-21, Lake Havasu City AZ: Buddy Williams entered round 3 of the WORCS Series with a comfortable points lead in all 3 of his classes. Unfortunately the annual Lake Havasu Spring Break round would turn the points leader into a points chaser. Saturday in the 70 Production class, Buddy’s clutch stuck in high gear at the starting line. He nursed the bike around the first lap, helplessly in last place. It looked like a certain DNF, until miraculously the clutch shifted out, and Buddy got going. He was in dead last with 25 minutes to go. Buddy charged all the way to third, when his clutch ultimately gave out, leaving him with a 9th place finish. Read the rest of this entry »

 The race started off with an irreparable rear brake issue within 30 miles into the race. All the riders sucked it up and dealt with it for the entire race. “It’s hard to commit yourself to doing what we do with the knowledge that you can’t hit the binders when in trouble” said team manager and rider of record Brandon Brown, “…so I’m really happy with how every one of our riders dealt with the adversity”. The only other problem they had was on a virtual check point heading into the finish in San Felipe. “I got led aria by some course markers from prior races heading into town and by the time I got it figured out it was too late and we ended up with a penalty” further stated Brandon. Even with these couple of problems the 106A quad still had their next closest competitor by 25+ minutes when the official results were tallied. Read the rest of this entry »

 March 26, 2010 – Woodcliff Lake, NJ – Husqvarna racers beat mother nature and long odds to bag a couple top 10 finishes. U.S. Desert Racing Association #1 plate holder Nick Burson battled a bad three-kick start and extremely dusty conditions near Murphy, Idaho, while Glenn Kearney was in the woods for a very muddy GNCC round this past weekend. When all was said and done, Nick nabbed ninth in the AMA National Hare & Hound and Kearney overcame a mid-race collision to come back up to sixth in round #3 of GNCC series at Steele Creek, West Virginia. Kurt Caselli is an obvious choice for another WORCS win. He has always been fast at Havasu and he was absolutely untouchable at round 2 in Primm. Caselli is also the point’s leader and will be looking to the WORCS Championship and may settle for a podium if the leader is far out of reach. Ricky Dietrich has finished 5th and 3rd so far this season and is second in the title chase; he’ll be looking for a win and is the defending Havasu Champ. Ricky D shines on the lake course.
