MEMORIAL MONUMENT IN HONOR OF RECENT CALIFORNIA 200 RACE CRASH VICTIMS TO BE UNVEILED AT 2010 LUCAS OIL OFF-ROAD EXPO ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 9

Victims Family Members to Join in Unveiling Ceremony Held in Conjunction with Opening of Expo

WHAT: Off-Road fans, racers, volunteers and friends and family members of the victims will gather on opening day at the 2010 Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo for the unveiling of the California 200 Memorial Monument, a large scale statue designed to honor the victims of the recent desert race accident where eight were killed and 12 injured. This unveiling will give families of the victims, supporters, friends and the entire off-road community an opportunity to reflect on this terrible tragedy. The monument is comprised of comprised of stainless steel and is eight feet tall. The public can all make their mark on the monument as well by signing the adjacent wall to show their support for victims and their families. After the public unveiling Saturday morning, the statue and the wall will remain on display throughout the weekend at the expo.

The 2010 Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo will showcases all the latest off-road toys, technologies, parts, gear and accessories from more than 300 of the industry’s leading manufacturers, dealers and distributors. In addition to the displays, the expo will come to life with features including the all new Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Exhibition, freestyle motocross, Can-AM ATV test drives, professional RC Car racing, celebrity appearances, live music, bikini contests, and more.

The Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo has also named FAST-Aid the official charity for the 2010 event. FAST-Aid is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing financial, educational and personal assistance to injured off-road racers, support teams and their families following a motor sports racing incident. To assist in the fundraising efforts for victims, donations will be collected on site at the expo and online at www.offroadexpo.com with discount code FAST-AID.
