Track News: Breezewood Proving Ground

July 28th, 2010

Ask anyone who’s been to the Breezewood Proving Grounds before and they’ll say it’s the best all around motocross park in the Northeast. Dan Harris (#584) has created tracks that cater to the absolute beginner (Pee Wee) as well as the advanced technical rider. All tracks are Motocross with doubles, tabletops, triples, step-ups and high banked berms and are groomed and watered regularly, and track layouts change often. All the tracks are open to both motorcycles and quads – all day practice… everyday! The park offers much more than just riding. There’s a swimming pond with a huge water slide, diving board, floating dock and much more. There’s full hook-up and primitive camping, hot water shower houses, cabins and a dining facility to ensure your stay at the Proving Grounds is comfortable and relaxing after a hard day riding.

The Breezewood Proving Grounds’ 2010 final Outlaw Series race will be held on September 4th. Classes are broken down by beginner, intermediate and expert. Awards are given to the top 3 riders with 6 or more riders in a race. This series has proven to be a blast. One moto format – All or nothing! No AMA or Disctrict cards required. Vet (30+ and 40+) classes as well as several kids’ classes for bikes and quads. Additionally, there’s a utility quad class which always turns out to be an event in itself. And the best part, the tracks are open all day up until the race for open practice.

Dream Camp 2010! Quad camp is 4 days with pros such as Dustin Wimmer, Jason Dunkelberger and John Natalie. Bike Camp is 4 days and will have pro rider Ash Woscob and pro trainers Mark Howsare and Greg “Frenchie” Pamart! Hands-on learning from the best in the industry! All meals, lodging and maintenance items such as oils, lubes and cleaners are included.
